This is unacceptable. It's a real issue and there is no way around it.

This is unacceptable. It's a real issue and there is no way around it.

So the way to keep the kids from suffering is to make sure they're never born to suffer. If a population continues to increase it seems like their food supplies are in order. I think the real reason is obvious

The young people, who are in much higher proportions in many LDCs, are likely to be more volatile, unstable, prone to extremes, alienation and violence than an older population. These young people can more readily be persuaded to attack the legal institutions of the government or real property of the ‘establishment,' ‘imperialists,' multinational corporations, or other-often foreign-influences blamed for their troubles" [Chapter V, "Implications of Population Pressures for National Security].

The underlying issue is poverty which we haven't been able to "fix". The issue currently at least in America isn't that there isn't enough food. It's how x will pay for it. Families really struggle in our country and the Right has been making that harder by cutting food stamps etc etc. Maybe the thought is that if they limit the support system people won't have children but that doesn't seem to be the result.

America isn't an ldc... thankfully.
