Ive Only Had Credits Cards All My Life, I Have A Excellent Credit And Ive Been Pre Approved For The AMEX Green AND Gold Cards

I Kinda Wanna Get One If It Means Its Gonna Help My Credit Score Look Even Better

And No Interest Is Nice

But Is It Worth It?

As You Know Theres An Annual Fee On These Things So I Dont Wanna Just Cough Up A Nice Chunk Of Cash Every Year Just To Have The "Privilege" Of Carrying The Card

So Are These Charge Cards Good Useful Things Or Just Some Lame Prop To Make People Feel Good About Their Social Status?

BTW The Benefits Are Real Nice Too, Especially When It Comes To Turning Your Points Into Flyer Miles

Well I've known people who pay all their bills with their AMEX cards and then just pay the balance at the end of the month. Once they racked up enough points, they got a brand new Sony laptop. You also get an extended warranty through them on any electronics you buy with the card. If you are good with managing money, you can make it work for you.

Great protection when used to make a purchase. 24/7 customer service but watch out for the financial review.

Had gold the fee was $125, didn't get the Knicks ticket thing so I downgraded to Zync. Same protection but only $25.

AMEX are great, you seem to know the diffrence all ready between a charge card and a revolving credit so youre a step ahead of most people.

I dunno how many dumb fukks got an amex and ran out and charged shyt and got that bill thinking they will float the bill and pay it off not knowing you owe it all back every month.

If your responsible, you should have no problem its a cool resource to have and usually can get some cool perks for having one.

All thought this is the The Coli and even though everyone here is 6 figure rich, they will tell you to not get a credit/charge card and that they are bad.

I use their Starwood one to get points for hotel stays. They extend the normal AMEX benefits to that as well.

They have been good to me, but just realize there are still places that don't accept AMEX

I only pay cash for things, use the cards a few times a month to keep them active.

I will say this, if you have good enough credit, and enough restraint, then it's absolutely beneficial to get a charge card or credit card for that matter. It's almost impossible to function in the world without some form of credit, and it's easy to make charge or credit cards work for you. Dont let these people tell you otherwise.
