LALO WAS GOATED
AND THEY MADE HIM GO OUT LIKE A SUCKER

I'm sure that bothered the writers....as they had no choice because of Gus' position in BB. Like "We retroactively created this badass character, but he has to have a demise one way or another"

No way Gus and to a lesser degree, Walt would have ascended to their levels if Lalo was around during the events of BB.

Better character development than BB so it may seem slow at times but you really get to see how Saul became Saul and it wasn’t cheesy. Walt went from a regular school teacher to a drug dealer blowing up buildings in two seasons. I think the writing overall was much better in BCS than BB. BB has more violence so it’s more instant gratification.

It is slow paced, but I like that about the show.

BB never lets up from start to finish but BCS gets deeper into the characters. BCS is not really aiming for the same crazy thriller genre, its more of a character study.
This is kinda how i view Godfather 1 & 2.

GF2 really dug deeper into the characters as well as the intricacies of mob business. GF1 was a little more surface level (not to take away from the film).

Him being on the run would not have worked as that would have been inconsistent with Gus' position. Gus was in a very contented setting in the BB universe in comparison to BCS. In fact, it's plausible that Gus outlasting Lalo had given him even more self-assurance. Even Mike stopped giving him lip by then.

Top of the line television. The way they compiled their montages reminded me of The Sopranos.

(If you ain’t caught up, avoid the vid)

Even though they sorta botched the ending the show was brilliant and until Shogun came out, I thought it was one of the last great TV shows. The attention to detail was incredible and though it wasn't as violent as BB. It actually gave it more impact when it did happen.
