The Affair is one of the most critically acclaimed new shows this year and it stars two English actors.

The chick that plays Agent Carter is English.

Rick from Walking Dead is English.

Martin Freeman from Fargo is English.

Clive Owen from the Knick is English.

Will and Hannibal in Hannibal are played by an English and Danish guy.

Well to be fair Hannibal is from Europe

In Homeland Quinn Fisher:ahh: and formerly Brody were played by English actors Rupert Friend and Damien Lewis. The lead on Fox's "Gotham" is also English. Co-lead in The Americans is Welsh. Even Ned Stark(Sean "I die in almost every movie" Bean has his own show.

Since you asked... I personally think the trend of non-American Black actors in major films is disgraceful. I've definitely noticed it that's for sure.

I'd LOVE to hear what African American actors feel about this.

british actors have taken over hollywood and TV in general

most of em are and ueno it
Pretty much, it's not just a black thing.

You just don't really notice it unless you either see the actor in some other project or hear them in an interview. Like I had no idea Charlie Hunnam from SOA was from the UK until I saw Green Street Hooligans. The only difference with black British actors is that they're easier to spot because they tend to have traditional African names.

Black dude from the Knick could be a major player in the future and he's from America.
I thought that too at first but later on in the series the moment he was accepted he stopped being a boss and became a butler. The actor also took a backseat storyline and air time wise too

I mean while we're at it part of the whole "acting" thing is playing other nationalities ... and per capita it does indeed seem British Actors >>> American Actors, which is understandable given the country's rich thespian tradition.
