Snoop’s been a joke for a long cotdamn time. Culture vulture because he can’t make good hip hop no more & nobody checks for his half assed attempts. Just like that Snoop Lion bullshyt jockin reggae & rastas... I knew he’d go right back to Snoop Dogg once that inevitably failed. fukk Snoop’s wack ass. Doggystyle is his only classic with like 2 other decent albums & the rest of his discography being hot :trash:.
Been saying the same thing for years. I wont even get into his exaggerations into the Nas/Pac exchange or different ways he has told the story of how pac died in the hospital, or how he denounced gangbanging but then goes back to supporting it when it's convenient...

What has kept him somewhat relevant is that he's humble to new artists. I was around in the early 90s when he dropped and to still be somewhat relevant in today's market is a miracle. But all the extra shyt he does has made him a caricature of himself and its ONLY to stay relevant. He can still tour off of his name which keeps the revenue coming in.

Musically yeah his debut was a classic, follow up was a dud. His NL releases were average to above average and since that it's been hit or miss on a lot of songs and albums. His last good album to me was paid the cost to be the boss...

:whoa:

I can respect that its your opinion but boy do i disagree. Blue Carpet Treatment is easily his last great album and that album > Paid The Cost by FAR.

IMO Paid The Cost is one of his weaker jawns. Thats the era he became the caricature you speak of. A very mainstream & polished sound, with a huge crossover hit (Beautiful) and 1 or 2 others.

The album had a joints or 2 but overall? Nah.

Make America Crip Again was a solid album. I almost didn't listen to it because of,the title but he had cool subject matter on it

LOL this nikka has been a fraud since his conception. Was never a gangbanger, or certified street dude. Even Suge talks about how he had to "pay" his way into affiliation with the crips. Try and look up who his father is.
