I worked surrounded by Indian engineers. I called them out in front of corporate for this. They won't do it around me anymore. Nope

Had my own higher ups stuttering trying to explain their conduct to their bosses. I set the tone for what surrounds me and I don't accept fukk shyt in real life.

You get it! Got foos on here with lil work experience trying to tell me how iish goes.

You know that ppl who speak in foreign languages @ work talk trash doodoo about their fellow coworkers. Who we fooling?? 😂

Next, if it is OK for them to talk how they wanna talk, then you should be able to do the same, right?

You should be able to cuss, talk about women, watch porn, smoke weed, use the n-word, roast non-Blks, talk about ppls religion, politics, talk about their mamas, kids, etc.

Glad you deaded the nonsense at your job! Salute! 😎👍🏿

Tell that to the person who was offended that they are a dumbass.

But, speaking of dumbasses, why would you speak another language in front of ppl that don't speak that language? You wanna talk shyt? You wanna be discreet with your conversation? But, you can't wait until your lunch break or coffee break or better let wait until you go home to do all of that?

Let me ask you? If we worked together and I decided to have locker room talk with a dude and talked about sexually explicit stuff and you happened to hear our conversation, would you be a dumbass if you became offended? Would it be professional of me to have said conversation at where you or other women could hear?

If a white boy at your job was talking to another white boy about how he hates n-words and want them all to be enslaved again, lynched and castrated around you, would you be a dumbass for taking offense?

Point is..

The workplace isn't your crib! Workplace is for work. You, myself nor anyone else can't tell someone what they can't or can't be offended by!

I personally don't care if other languages are used as long as it is work related and necessary. Other than that, speak English like everyone else and watch your tone and delivery unless you don't mind getting written up or fired.

I can't imagine someone who need their job to sustain themselves do anything that would jeopardize their livelihood.
Your examples are comparable. Having offensive conversations in any language at work aren’t ok. Talking about the last episode of some tv show, the football game, or your refrigerator that broke down, I don’t care if you do that in another language. Like wtf are you crying about?

Do they speak and understand English for when it’s time to talk, listen to, or execute business? If yes, then who cares a hit the language they socialize in.

I understand, but...

The sexual harassment and hostile work environment laws and company policies changed the game.

I just responded to another thread where a Blk man had to check a Hispanic woman employee at a dollar store for saying racist things about Blk ppl in Spanish. She got checked, recorded and fired.

That above statement is one of the main reasons why ppl get offended when other languages are spoken in the workplace. .

Personally, I mind my business. Some ppl stay up in other ppls business. Gotta know who you are working with before you say and do things @ work.

You triggered?

I'm burnt out fa sho, but I'm gainfully employed! 😁😆👍🏿

What you aren't is a therapist, so your assessment of me is moot.

I gave multiple scenarios because there are multiple scenarios that constitute issues at work.

Speaking another language around other ppl at work that is out side work duties is rude, plain and simple! You must be a youngster..

I don't care if you disagree! I doubt that you are a labor law attorney. Tell them mofos the bs you trying to tell me!

The year 3030
we employ a large spanish speaking workforce, from management to warehouse.

At times it gets a little annoying when they switch to spanish (like if it's work related, what's wrong with english, unless you trying to hide something from us), I usually don't pay it any mind, only until the company kiss ass starts talking shyt to the boss about us in spanish.

and i only know this happens because one of my coworkers who's hispanic tells us non-spanish speaking that the kiss ass is doing it. He hates the kiss ass as much as we do, cause they're a fukking lying ass type of person
