Buried my Daddy yesterday. He was the greatest man I've ever known & the only man I've ever looked up to. THere's nobody that knows him that can say he didn't help them out at least once in their life. Most generous person i've ever met. He's given away cars (even took my car in high school to give to his boy that needed a car :beli: ), money, words of encouragement, whatever he could to friends & family in need. Anytime his friends were in town he'd never let them stay at a hotel. Always fixing or remodeling someones house or something for free and never wanting or asking for anything in return. I remember once he came to NY to get me to take me to Miami for christmas break and we stopped by one of his homegirls crib and her son or nephew was there. She was telling him how he was getting in to trouble & shyt. So my pops asked dude if he ever been to Miami and he was like nah, he has never left NY. So my pops told him pack a bag lets go. He looked at my pops crazy and said he didn't have any money or nothing. My pops told him don't worry about nothing and he took him with us to Miami for 2 weeks and treated him like he knew him all his life. He did it to talk some sense into him and show him that there's more to life than the bullshyt he was getting into. Thats the type of nikka he was, I got stories for days. He was my daddy, my best friend, my hero. I am who i am today because I've basically been emulating him all my life. He taught me everything. I miss him like crazy.

I appreciate all words of encouragement/sympathy from ya'll in this thread, via pm, text etc. I appreciate those of you that donated to help with the funeral costs too. Its the holiday season and everyone has their own family and bills and what not, but yall still gave to help me bury my daddy, that shyt means a lot to me, words can't even express it. Thank you all.

Already thanked @cook personally but had to thank him here as well. If it wasn't for him this thread wouldn't have been made and I would have been $2k short (my daddy didn't have life insurance). He also came through for me last minute on christmas eve and made the funeral program without hesitation. Thank you again my brother.

What a brave, humble man :mjcry:

You have his example, and now you can bless many others with it.

They don't make men like that no more bruh. You're and your family are blessed to have had him. My Dad shares some of those qualities and I've very appreciative and spend a lot of time with him. Men need to see men doing men things.

:salute: Stand up men. Stay true and continue to make him PROUD. You'll see him again.

Big thing to do for evey coli member is check your family health history... from high blood pressure, cancer, etc, etc... then go see the doctor..

I visit my doctor once a year
You aint lying. I gotta get health insurance and start seeing a doctor regularly.

They defiantly don't make them like that no more. Keep spending time with you pops, cherish him.

When my father got diagnosed and had his surgery that made me get health insurance and started seeing a doctor..

Sometimes I fukked myself up by eating the wrong food and drinking too much... I cut drinking out completely now...
