Where do you go in an earthquake?
Outside away from structures if possible?
It happened at night too...must have felt Iike the end of the world

Rip to the innocent

During the day

Stay away from building structures

If u in a downtown area , u just have to hope that earthquake isn’t too bad

At night depending where u live , u either fukk or lucky, no other way to say it

I worry about stuff like that happening like if you travel overseas and get caught up in something like that or a tsunami, building codes ain't the same as in the USA so you won't know where to find safety :wow:
Word.

Turkey from. What I read take earthquakes seriously. They had to rebuild the Walls of Constantinople many times due to earthquakes throughout history. A bridge they built that I'm interested in was built to withstand earthquakes and they build with earthquakes being a possibility..I can't say if their codes are as strict as ours or Japans.

I grew up in an earthquake prone country and we used to do earthquake drills at school. I still have a scar on my chin from where some lil kid pushed me into the corner of a metal chair during an earthquake.

We were taught to go under a door jam as they are supposed to be super sturdy

Hide under a table or desk to avoid falling debris

If you can; retreat to a wide open space like a park, away from buildings, signage power lines etc

I think Japan has started to build earthquake proof buildings that sway in an earthquake to avoid crumbling.

They say hide in the bathtub :patrice:

Or under a door frame..as I I believe the door frame is the support beam of the floor/weight above

Not supposed to do the door jamb thing, door can swing any you catch an injury from that. Get under a study, solid table.
