Yeah people need to lose this idiotic train of thought. For other races we look at things as a business owned by a person who happens to be of a specific race. For black people we use the term black business as if it is some different kind of thing and all they do is have RBG flags everywhere, bean pies, and use outdated 70s slang.

Citizens is a bank that was started by people who happens to be black, but folks flip it as if it is some separatist thing when all banks money support the same financial system lol

One of the most effective tactics of white supremacy is keeping black self esteem and pride low. They don't want us to be a prideful and aware people . This is a result of our increased love of ourselves and each other. And also an increased interest in events of the past.

Imo the next big step for blackj people is more black owned media. Media propaganda has been extremely effective against us. Constantly seeing negative stereotypes and hearing poisonous messages over the airwaves has done a number on our own psyche and how we feel about ourselves and each other. We definantly need more positive images of ourselves and a broader range of alternatives for the youth. The rapper and athlete ain't gonna cut it going forward.

i agree. the follow up to this imo should be blacks cancel their cable and use that money to form investment clubs. 5 people canceling cable at $150 a month is rent for a store front property in most places. or stack it in an account for 3-5 years and you have enough for a downpayment on an investment property.

I agree. I've grown up always watching television, but I'm getting sick of the garbage on there now. Thinking about cutting the shyt off, but the way the packages are its cheaper for me to have cable than not have it. Plus I cant do without internet.

We got enough store fronts, we need to be in a position of supplying businesses. A Black Store Front that sales Products made by other groups isn't really doing anything revolutionary because you can easily be cut off by suppliers.

where I live it is the case. Many of these Black Store Fronts dont employ anyone its usually Owner Run, as staffing is expensive and typically the business is all the person has. Like I said we need focus on supplying others as that is something that can actually create jobs.

i'm not straying away from the discussion, because there's nothing to discuss. i simply said store front, which could mean laundromat, bodega, grocery store, cell phone repair store, tax preparation, juice bar, or any other basic needs of the community. in my area, blacks barely own most of these. if you want to focus on enterprising fine (which is why i mentioned investment properties) or if you want to start small with the necessities to serve the community that's needed as well.
