U sound like a stan heres whyThe problem with the OP which is the problem with the current climate of hip hop and why it sucks is due to the fact they don't know nor honor its own history and culture. This buddy-buddy rap shyt is really fucckin' up the hunger for emcees to put out their best. Muthafucckaz putting out half-ass rhymes just to get by. Then in comes an actual LYRICIST who is equally popular as these half-ass rhymers, but have the mentality of a real emcee. A real emcee ALWAYS have the attitude that no matter what booth, what studio, what stage, what location, and who he or she are with, that they WILL be "that" n*gga when it's all said and done. They will let their peoples around know that they're going to be "the one" and it is the duty of the other emcees to PROVE it otherwise. It's all about challenging n*ggaz to put their best foot in at all times, because there's that next n*gga that want that top spot and will take it from you. This brings the BEST out of hip hop overall. This why he had great music back in the day, because that was the mentality of an EMCEE!
In this day and age you don't have that. These rappers ought to be THANKING Kendrick for giving them motivation to give it their all to prove that n*gga that he's not the best out running, but unfortunately they're don't comprehend what real emceeing about that someone like "I read from a Blackberry-freestyle" Drake feels salty. They do not understand and are disrespecting the CRAFT. A REAL MC go out there at all times believing that nobody can fucck with him and dare anyone regardless who it is, friend or not, to say otherwise.
All those n*ggaz on TDE have that mentality and if you look at their own interviews, they will say that about their own homie that'll kill'em on wax. That's precisely why they're the dopest group out right now, because of that determination to try to outshine each other. But the rest of the rap game don't have that same mentality.
This "buddy buddy rap shyt" is exactly why Kdot's hometown is even the powerhouse it is
Same goes for the south
Ya ur looking at all that "buddy buddy" sht as a negative now..but then in 5 years u'll start gettin ur Nation of Islam on talking bout the unity of black people and how we need to unite to progress...
But thats besides the point..
Who and whats to say that MC's havent alrdy been doing their best
"Putting out half ass rhymes just to get by"
What that mean??
U mean they aint have enough psuedo intellectual lyrics and jumbled up words to give off the impression of intelligence in their music?
nikka this sht is about who's music and bars is being felt..
Drake all the time says he's doing it bigger than everyone..he walks around cocky as a mufcka..
Wdf do u think Worst behavior, The Language, and Paris Morton 2 was about??
Oh but Drake doesnt play the lil underdog rebel that u want him to do huh??

Kdot's verse was about killin his peers careers....since he's mr. raising the bar lets see him raise the bar then?
Lets see him get grammys off mixtapes, go double plat by his second release, create his own version of summer jam for his city and basically be the biggest superstar in hip hop to come out in the last 5 years..
Since we're talkin so much bout raisin the bar..
Kdot is the one who has to prove he's the best out by producing greater accomplishments..
Not by winning over a bunch of nerdy internet cacs and hipster ass nikkaz in which the only reason they latch onto to that verse so hard is because Kdot played the role of the anti hero..
Like I said in another head..that fad is a common one in hip hop..and they always fall to the wayside..
Kdot will never reach the heights Drake has reached in this hip hop sht in such a short time.
Its up to Kdot to prove me wrong
