Duckworth is a direct benefactor of the whole friendly rapper movement.

He owes Cole for giving him his most renouned song hiii power. Obv they were friendly enough to do this together.

He owes drake for taking him out on tour to his first big audiences and helping him break to a new audience by having his own song on Drake album plus t-minus drake producer for his major hit swimming pool.

Somewhere along the line he got the idea that competition is healthy which I agree BUT it is a snake move to start on that path once u have used these rapper friends to elevate your career. I like competition in hip hop but I also see a hypocrisy in the way this all played out. He wasn't saying any of this when he was getting looks from said rap friends, the timing smacks of selfishness. He don't care cuz he on not because he cares so much for rap.
You make these rappers Kendrick listed sound weak. Never in hiphop have fans shielded a rapper from battle like Drake stans throwing drake in an armored car to escape the wrath of Kendrick. If you like that punk smooth fakkit shyt bump your Drake but Kendrick represents more of what hiphop was missing. Drakes Emo bars and content are getting redundant.

im talking bout the rap game....

Not the battle rap culture or how things are done underground

And as I alrdy outlined in a previous post..its not about steppin bars up on collabs..its about killing careers...so no Pusha didnt understand it at all

These nikkaz are in the rap game now..when has it been in any era where nikkaz would name drop in a negative context on a diss record and have it not be translated as disrespect?? :wtf:

Most legendary MCs

Plz tell me what diss records nikkaz like Jay, nas, pac, Big, Cube, Snooop, LL, KRS, T.i, etc. were droppin that had namedrops in negative contexts and were done for the mere fun of competition and had no tension or real anger behind em :stopitslime:

I'M TALKING ABOUT EMCEEING... pure and unfiltered. a REAL EMCEE does it all. PERIOD.

Nobody is shielding Kdot

U Kdot fans are just showing why u even stan him in the first place..and that is because of ur disdain for Drake

Everything Kdot does seems to be an attack against Drake...thats what his stans will make u believe...
Perfect example being the unheard freestyle from Kdot lamar thread :heh:

Kdot doesnt represent anything hip hop has been missing...

When has droppin diss records for the mere purpose of nice fun competition been part of the game

When has name droppin nikkaz u cool with in a negative context been part of the game??

Kdot is the only ho ass nikka to pull a desperate publicity Gucci mane tweet on wax ass move like that

Drake knows and respects hhip hop which is why he said "real anger goes behind these battles"

He understands that thats how its always been:obama:

Wrath of Kdot :heh:

Drake almost got a grammy of a mixtape, created a summerjam event for his city , went double plat by his second release and his numbers have been consistent even now

Kdot aint gon in no way have the career Drake has..beleeedat :umad:

YOU GOT-DAMN RIGHT I TAKE THIS CULTURE TOO SERIOUS... THIS IS FUCCKIN' HIP HOP WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. THIS IS THE EXACT BULLshyt I AM TALKING ABOUT WHEN PEOPLE SAY DUMB SH*T DISRESPECTING THE CULTURE AND NOT HAVING AN UNDERSTANDING WHUTSOEVER!!! GET THE FUCCK OUT HERE WITH THAT BULLSH*T.... YOU SUPPOSE TO TAKE THIS LIFESTYLE SERIOUS. THIS ISN'T ABOUT SELLING AND MAKING POP RECORDS. THIS IS A WAY OF LIFE.

you and any other washed behind the ears culture stealer can kiss my black ass. keep defending fake sh*t and tarnishing this culture i was born to love.

*yawn* :snooze::rudy:

"Hip-hop" is a commercial buying class that has co-opted its listeners into think they're apart of some unique culture and indentity which allows them to accept the fact that they're clued into to some aspect of society that everyone else isn't.

Listen to yourself.

"you're supposed to take this lifestyle serious" :damn: :pachaha:

Is it merely a lifestyle? or entertainment?

You tell me.

At the end of the day, all these guys are is actors in the booth. None of them are making music solely to tell stories..otherwise, they'd be authors. They're not out here doing 95% of the shyt they rap about and they damn sure never did it.

Real gangsters...don't rap.

Remember that. They're too busy doing OTHER shyt.

And yes, selling records is what THE MUSIC INDUSTRY does. Its a business. Its a profit seeking industry.

If you want to listen to "real rap"...go ahead...but hating on "pop" music (short for POPULAR) only makes you sound like someone without much of an identity yourself, yet you seem to think you're showing everyone else how "cultured" and "aware" you are.:camby:

Please tell me what rap is "supposed" to be about. I'd love to hear your spin on essentially speaking melodically over an instrumental.

I get it.

You claim to want "substance" or something in your music. Fine. Go seek it. But don't act like you hold claim to the entirety of music. If you want to nikkas who don't make any money in their craft, go patronize them.

This is how the market works.

Deal with it. :win:

I used to think stanning was the worst but naw It's stanning people you supposedly don't like. Every time I decide to come in here I see the same dudes posting over and over about some guy they supposedly don't like. That obsession is fukking weird man.

Why exhaust so much time into someone/something you don't like? As lame as I think stanning is, at least I can understand it. But this other shyt some of you be on is sad man.

:smugfavre:

( why did l go back and redo his verse which led to canibus beef because nikkas hyped it up and canibus didnt even diss him just wanted to borrow the mic)??

( both of em were in comp together and denied beef even afterwards )

( all these nikkas goin at each other and trying to out each other competition wise, only a year later did they all diss each other)
