Thread moderation

Can thread starters be granted modding privelages of the threads they make, this would allow us to delete or edit any troll or nonsense posts in our threads. That way we limit derailing and stay on topic of what ever point we're trying to make....would it also be possible to ban people from our threads (relates to those who keep on trying to derail the thread, even after their posts have been edited/deleted)
