I said the same thing.
First few episodes are filmed like a movie and written that way until it finds its footing in the 3rd episode. That threw me off for a bit.

I'm going to start My Name soon but i seen it trending in the top 10 & it's a 9 episode series (same as Squid Game), makes me wonder if these Korean writers are going to push for less episodes now rather then the usual 16
