But their idea of a negative consequence is some veterans have to go around a fukking fence. Screw those people without WIC, the kids with cancer that can't get treatment, safe food and working conditions, AND 700-800 thousand people with job uncertainty. And who needs intelligence services while we're in the war on terror? That's ok in their book.
No one is threatening to stop the veterans. It just serves the point that yes this is going to inconvenience us and eventually it's gonna get dangerous.
If you want a government shutdown, you can't complain of its consequences in the same breath.

And all this before the debt ceiling debate. I can't wait.

I think you are miscalculating if you think the blame will be placed on obama if the debt ceiling is reached. The blame is already being placed on republicans for the shutdown and the next two weeks it will be in the mind of people that it's the republicans fault this is happening. So if obama has to do extraordinary things to raise the debt ceiling, they will know it's because of republicans.
