Nah bruh. I run a company with branches in 12 states, Unions in 7 of them impede my/our progress. If you want a long winded reply, I can provide that, but just know as a guy with personal business relations with several Unions, I know how corrupt they can truly be.

Disagree? Look up Guy Thomas :sas2:

I could give you his personal cell if neccessary:sas1:

Nonsense. A good company respects and values its talent and producers and a good company makes a Union unnecessary. Bad companies are what keeps Unions thriving, there are several industries where they are a big help, majority of which they are just seeking a cut of each person's salary when the individual could do it on their own.

Unions are just as if not worse than congress. They were 100% needed in the past and still somewhat needed in certain industries today. However, they need to get rid of the pork. I was working at the mall a few years back and a union construction guy was stacking empty milk crates. Got paid $60 fukking an hour to do it. Theres a problem there....

This.

I could name names, I know several Union reps making high 6 figure salaries when all they do is have one weekly phone conference that normally ends with threats to go to the Labor board or sue. The funny part to me is a lot of these same high level Union reps are some of the most staunch Republican people you will ever meet. They are literally going against their "morals and values" because of the paycheck. Can't think of a bigger form of sell out than that.

Drinking the Kool-Aid???? nikka, I'm MAKING the Kool Aid. Literally right now I'm taking fees out of my employees' paychecks to pay their Union Dues to cover Union Insurance that is less coverage and higher cost than what we offer as a company. Majority of the workers on this job want the Union GONE but cannot get rid of them because they need near unanimous vote to make it so. They are getting ripped off and the Union knows it, yet they don't want to miss out on their cut so they fight to remain relevant.

Like I said before, if you are on top of your game in the business world, Unions are nothing but a detriment. They DO serve a purpose when working with a selfish or corrupt company but those types of companies rarely last. At best, they are a temporarily needed service.

Oh so you are upset over me making a "broad and general" claim about you, but you do it constantly throughout the thread and its ok when you do it because its "not the same", huh? :sas1:

Why were unions created in the first place? why do they still exist? what's wrong with choices? What's your personal issue with unions, how do they effect you?

I don't see the issue in collective bargaining and protecting workers right. Companies when given the opportunity are more bound to run roughshod.

save the free market nonsense

Sounds like you have a superiority complex.

Its not about protecting or taking away workers rights, as I said before clearly, a good company will handle business correctly. Its only when companies spiral out of control and become corrupt is it a problem.

Free market is nonsense now?? :mjlol:

And yes, me responding to your baseless jab of an initial reply post you made and me touching on a blatant track record of Unions based PERSONAL experiences I've had with over 10 different Unions is a superiority complex now? :ohhh:

:russ: Homie, I think you have a Napoleon Complex.

Rather than saying "Oh hey, maybe I was a little off with my initial comments" or " Perhaps me and this guy have a difference in opinion based on different goals and experiences" you don't seem to know how acknowledge a view that conflicts with your own. World ain't so black and white homie, you'll learn that eventually if you haven't already. I've said in numerous posts not ALL Unions are bad, but WAY too many of them are corrupt and needless for the services they offer and its a systematic corruption.

But then again, I bet you probably think all Unions are a gift from god too, huh? :sas1:

And nearly ALL of those companies existed BEFORE Unions were created. Look at the number of corrupt companies that stay in business post Union involvement and the numbers are dramatically lower. Unions have limited reach, they ain't gonna fix an established problem company, at best they are Band-Aid to the issues.
