Listen to what you just said. Biggest sporting event of the year, watched by millions, and they already show 3 black women with fake hair. If you don't grasp the importance of that, when it comes to public perception of black women and their strength, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe some of those watching are black girls watching the game with their family. Or maybe they're black boys. Both of them, because of how often it is becoming to see black women with weaves, grow up with a warped identity and lack of appreciation for being black.


You want to enjoy the Super Bowl? Cool. I'm enjoying it, too. But much of the attitudes towards black people - and how we collectively respond to those attitudes - are shaped by shyt like this. It's small shyt like this that becomes a serious problem taken as a whole.
