its not the weather or price for Packer fans...Season ticket holders did not purchase their playoff tickets in advanced due to a new refund policy.

Typically what happens with playoff tickets for season ticket holders is everyone is offered a chance to play the lottery weeks before we know whether or not we're going to be in the playoffs. In order to be in the lottery, you must submit the cost in-full of all seats, then, if we don't make the playoffs and/or you're not picked in the lottery, the ticket holders receive an automatic refund. Well, this year, the team got greedy: they asked for the usual full payment up front, but instead of refunding your money if the playoffs did not come to fruition, they were going to hold onto your payment for the following year's season ticket balance. For some folks, that's putting out over $1000 5 months in advance, not exactly chump change for those living on a tight budget.

This was happening when Rodgers was out and we had Tolzien/Flynn playing for us...
thats some shady shyt, i dont blame them for getting back at the packers. how humiliating would it be if the game is blacked out

■ The Packers sent out playoff notices to season ticket holders during the worst part of their season when Rodgers’ return was uncertain and they were getting crushed by the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. It’s likely many threw away their order forms thinking the Packers had no hope of earning a playoff berth.

■ The Packers overestimated the loyalty of their fan base by imposing a new no-refund playoff ticket policy in which unused money would be applied to next season’s tickets. The team also initially limited ticket sales this week to four per customer but quickly removed that restriction when it realized how slow tickets were selling.

■ The Packers added 7,000 seats to Lambeau Field this season, increasing the capacity to 80,750 and making it more difficult to sell out a game that isn’t part of the season-ticket package. It raises concerns that the Packers might have trouble filling their stadium, the third-largest in the NFL, if the team ever goes into an extended losing drought like it did in the 1970s and 1980s

I been telling you clowns for ever that Green Bay has no fan base
Get the fukk outta here. They sent the applications for Playoff Tickets out after the Detroit game on Thanksgiving. You know, when it looked like there wasn't a chance in hell we were gonna make the playoffs, let alone win the division (I.E. get a home game).

And they also changed the refund policy, which is what @bboystyle was referencing in his post, which pissed a lot of ppl off. [Edit: He posted more info above as I was typing out my post]

Regardless, the game here will never be blacked out. One of the businesses around here will pick up any unsold tickets. And Chad Johnson tweeted earlier in the week that he would buy any remaining Bengals tickets, ensuring that they won't get blacked out. Haven't heard anything out of Indy, but I'm sure something similar will happen there.

This is also the same team that duped hundreds of thousands of people into buying shares of "stock" in the team, which pays no dividends and gets you absolutely no actual ownership of the team. Slick operation they're running over there in Sconnie.

Well then it's even more embarassing that people willingly paid for that sh!t.

Its embarrassing to support your team willingly? I think it's more embarrassing to have some politicians raise your taxes to build or expand a stadium against your will.

Besides you do get to vote on certain issues involving the team which is at least something. Plus you can legitimately say "we" when talking about the Packers

NFL dying, no one is going to want to pay $100+ for nosebleeds in 10 degree weather
