This is bigger than The Ring. It's bigger than Coliseum to be honest. This is our history bruhs. 41 years ago two men went in the ring and put it all on the line and in the end it may have taken precious years off their lives. Just watch and appreciate history.

The most grueling fight of all time.
This is one of my favorites fights.

My number possibly is the Cleveland Williams fight. Ali act a straight ass in that fight.

Clev didnt stand a chance.

The most grueling fight of all time.

Word is that Ali was going to quit, but he saw that Frazier quit first.

It's amazing that I've never watched this fight from start to finish. Before Youtube I always caught it on TV mid fight usually around the 10th round or so, but yeah this fight was brutal. Frazier even protested when his trainer threw in the towel but he had nothing left and was basically blinded, that shot Frazier took from Ali that knocked his mouth piece out of both his mouth and ring was brutally punishing. Frazier would probably have been blind the rest of his years had his trainer not done that.

We will never see another fight like this again. They were giving everything they had and then some. Without a doubt if the internet and social media was out back then, the entire web would have broken down.

The fighting was brutal combined with the heat over 100 degrees. Ali said he felt like he was dying, and Frazier basically couldn't see after a certain point

I think Joe could have went another round because his conditioning was unhuman for this fight. The early rounds where Ali laid on Frazier's head/neck really sapped Joe's power later in the fight which would have worked to Ali's advantage but he was gassed, and because Joe was blind he never saw punches coming (like the one that knocked out his mouthpiece) and was there for the taking but Ali had nothing left. He barely got off the stool to celebrate the victory.

10 Things You Didn't Know About Joe Frazier
He was practically blind his left eye by 1974: In the '60s, shards of metal landed in his eyes while training with a faulty speed bag in Philadelphia. His trainers kept it a secret so he could continue to fight, but a decade later, he developed cataracts from the scar tissue and lost most of his vision in his left eye.
