Only thing you can say about Beyonce is she's a superstar, has global recognition and will go down as a legendary singer but, when you go back and actually listen to the music, Alicia's songs put hers to shame :scusthov:


Beyonce could never make a songs with soul like this. Goddamn, she looked so sexy in this video :wow:

Swizz beatz has been ruining everything he touches for about a decade...that didn't stop with Alicia Keys:pachaha:....but she had her time and mighta been bigger than Beyoncé at one point,she at least was as big but more respected musically.

comparing alicia and bey is like comparing stevie and MJ. different lanes. Alicia is a musician/singer, beyonce is an entertainer/singer/musician. i prefer beyonce though she is hit and miss. i feel like Beyonce has 4 classics. The Writings On The Wall is a contemporary r&b/pop classic. maybe not universal, but girls of a certain age grew up on that isht. B'Day is a pop/r&b classic. 4 is an underrated powerful vocals classic. Listen to Rather Die Yuung or I Care or I MIss You or Countdown. these are great songs. And her latest album is a universal masterpiece. has sexy songs, love songs, haunting songs. Alicia has never made a song as painful as eEaven. Man, B is getting better as well. Where as her contemporaries are falling off. Alicia fell of after Empire State Of Mind. Alicias first album is similar to Beys first album. not fully formed. had good ideas but ultimately not great.
