If it wasn't for Drake, i don't know if she'd still even be on the radar.
Real talk, since she started trying to "evolve" and moved away from that Badu lane, she got exposed for not being able to sing and just having weak songs.

Alicia Keys fell off, but that wasn't really the point of the thread. I acknowledged that fact. But when she was "on", her music was 10x more enjoyable than Beys.

they can't. this is VERY noticeable if you put them aside people that CAN actually sing. beyonce had to rely upon sex appeal and alicia keys with her sex appeal and the wack ass "piano genius" gimmick. if you put alicia keys and beyonce next to mariah carey, whitney houston, chaka khan, aretha franklin, patti labelle, and others in their prime, they would be embarrassed. the only reason why folks give them a pass is because their expectations for "singers" have been lowered to the point where anybody that can harmonize to a beat gets a pass.
