learning a language is hard. Learning a culture is even harder. This isnt possible unless you genuinely love the place(like you are convinced you wanna get married and die there) or you're economically desperate( think of honduran, hatian, or syrian migrants).

He’s not naive. The reality is if you don’t learn the language of wherever 95 percent of ppl you interact with will be looking to get over you.
