It was a dollar theatre that showed old kung fu movies, my pops used to take me and my cousins every other Saturday. :flabbynsick:
When we got home, my cousin and me would be outside kung fu fighting on each other making noise and shyt :slapfight:

There was this old azz lady on the block that came outside and told us to stop 😔😔

I looked at her and said "bytch you dare to challenge my kung fu" like a drunken master or something...

She went and told my moms and we stopped going, cause they thought the movies had me cussin...:mjcry:
Just like the movies. I can see you turning to look at her while the camera zooms in on your face as you say it :dead: :russ:

Hell yeah , i had the " super saver cinema" later known as the "silver cinemas" within walking distance of my house

Had all the movies like 3 months after they hit the real theatres, but still before they were out on video

Wasnt no internet streaming then, we had to make due

It’s called the Picture Show here

Whenever I gather all my nieces and nephews, I take them there to watch whatever movie they parents won’t let them see

:blessed:

Was eating off the $1 shows heavy as a teen in the 90's. Saw the 1st Matrix movie like 4 times there when it dropped.

Harlem Corners in Chicago, caught a lot of R rated movies that I couldn’t see. My older brother would take us.

I was still in elementary school then, bout time I got to high school the star theater had opened up. My crew got banned from the star by the time I made it to 12th grade.
We used to roll to both before that AMC on Greenfield was phased out/held out as long as we could because tickets were cheaper. There was always a fade happening at that AMC. I remember when the OG Mortal Kombat dropped cats were fighting for real in the theater, :mjlol: . shyt was hype.
