Yup, LeBron was considered a SG his rookie year.

The bench was guys like Kenyon Martin, Michael Redd, Ron Artest.
Oh. Vince and Iverson being All Star starters over Bron makes COMPLETE sense then. Didn’t realize he was considered a guard then, but looking back on it he and Ricky were the starting backcourt with Silas.

I’m still genuinely surprised fans didn’t vote him as a starter in his rookie year

Jermaine O’Neal was the other forward. Jermaine having more votes than Bron sounds insane to me lol.

LeBron has never been as popular as the media attention. He's more of a force fed superstar than one whose popularity was organic and from the people like Jordan and Kobe.

LeBron already had the respect of the vets he didn’t have to do that performative psycho competitor bullshyt in a exhibition entertainment game :mjlol:

LeBron just wanted to remember his first damn All-Star game and if you know anything about him especially when he was young in that era he was a huge fan of memorabilia, jerseys, sneakers it’s how he got cool with Rich Paul who was a seller
