Real shyt, Maino one of the few nikkas I respect and would do a track wit. At the end of the day it's about principle to a nikka like me. I was locked wit his family, Dike-O who just came home last year a little after me, after doin 9 years...(Dike-O also got the Executive Production credits on Main's first album If Tomorrow Comes.) Main would come out to VA and hit the compound for visitation & all that. '
And nikkas was obviously on his dikk, everyone tryin to spit a 16 in front of the nikka, but he gravitated toward me on the strength of the work I was puttin in on the compound, he never even knew I rhyme. Son just official and real nikkas recognize other real nikkas when they come into contact. I spun the yard wit son on numerous occasions, and already kind of took a liking to some of Maino's work, but some of the stories (not even just the hard body shyt) but the principle-driven ones stuck out to me and made me respect both of them nikkas, cuz I carry myself in the same fashion. Maino ain't the illest rapper, and quiet as kept, not even close..but I respect son story and I want to see him win.
shyt like this video is a lot deeper than just your average nikka frontin on camera. Certain nikkas really about the shyt they rhyme about. Me personally though, being who I am, knowing it's a crowd around...a nikka flash a gun on me, u gotta use that. Call it dumb, but u gotta use that or see me hand to hand, u not gonna threaten me and see a nikka tuck his tail like this Bunky fakkit, especially over some shyt I started. But in his defense, Maino was trippin anyways. Cuz if a nikka call your bluff, p*ssy or not, u gotta use that or you gonna end up lookin like a bytch. Not just that, but all it takes is the word of mouth of a witness or two to say they saw you threaten a nikka wit that hammer (regardless of how slickly you did it), and it's a wrap.. As a nikka who just did 10 years, it's not a wise decision at all, and I doubt the nikka would be happy sittin in a cell contemplating the fact that he lost the rest of his life just to check a bird ass nikka.
