It's pretty damn bad. It's enjoyable in a campy "this shyt is goofy but it's funny" kinda way, and the Slick Rick/Beasties performances were a cool touch, but that's about all I can say in its favor.

And yes, Run-DMC died a bad, bad death at the end of the 80s... WrestleMania 5, the Ghostbusters Rap, all that shyt... not to mention that '87-'88 wave of artists that came thru like a cyclone.

Love 'em tho'. All-time icons. They were in many ways one of the earliest examples of what happens when the mainstream gets a hold of hip-hop and starts fukkin' with it.

I respect you right off the bat because you are a Hip Hop historian

:wow:

But please take "Ghostbusters Rap" off your list! lol

What, would you take out Ninja Turtles 1 soundtrack with the colored cassettes too? (wait, did 1 even have rap?)

The reason I say this is because my first intro to rap was either the Walk this way video or Bobby Brown's take control, leading me to buy Ghostbusters 2, leading me to hear and love Doug E Fresh's "Spirit" joint!

Big respect to you tho!!!
