everything SAS said holds true today

what did he say? he never said steve kerr is a bad coach.. he never said he couldn't do the job.. he never said anything negative about his skills

he said why is he getting all these coaching offers, and treated like he's phil jackson or somebody, when he's never coached a single game in the nba.. meanwhile BLACK coaches are out here, proving they can win.. not a little, but 50-60 games AND going deep in the playoffs... and they not only get fired, they don't even called a call up for a job

that's exactly what happened.. and that's why i don't see him as tap dancing as everyone else does... yea he has his kiss ass moments, but he also says some real shyt, and this is it..

if you're black, it don't matter if you win or lose, you getting shytty jobs and you gotta damn near kill somebody just to get a shot at those.. meanwhile some white coach who ain't coached shyt, will get not only a call... but multiple offers for top teams/situations

say he's wrong....

They improved each year under Mark Jackson while being hurt... an were on the trajectory to win 60 plus games this season..... Deez are the facts.....
He also had them running an archaic offense based on isos and post ups.

Kerr installed an offense based on motion that was the best in the league and put players in a better position to succeed.

Your point.... You watch to much Sports Center and not enough basketball....

They trended upwards...each year...with a hurt squad...and were projected to win 60 plus games this year..... aint shyt archaic about that.....

jason kidd wasn't a golden boy... offered 3-4 top coaching positions... he is cool with the bucks management, he knew he had that in the bag when he left brooklyn

and he took brooklyn into the playoffs, what did he get for it? 1 job.. shytty team

again... what black coach has an EMPTY resume... who comes in and is offered major market teams with superstars???

shyt what black coaches are winning and getting those type of offers??

1, 2... doc if he wanted to leave and maybe 1 more coach.. none that i can think of off top..

SAS always brings up how black coaches in all sports don't get the same looks as white coaches WHO HAVE DONE LESS... i'm still not seeing anything that he said that was incorrect

now skip... he shytted on kerrs actual skills and what he would do in the future... sas was only talking about its fukked up he hasn't coached 1 game, and there's good black coaches out here, not even getting the same respect as a rookie

My point is that Jackson ran a shytty offense that didn't capitalize on the team's capabilities.

When you have the shooters and passers that team had, there's no reason for the team to have no ball movement.

Scott Brooks had two of the best offensive players in the league on his team, but he ran a shytty offense that was essentially the two of them doing isos and had shaky rotations that stunted the growth of some of their younger players.

If Donovan can come in, install an actual offense and play the best players on the team, they'll be much better.

This isn't some Sportscenter shyt, it's stuff we talked about on here last year, stuff the players talked about this year.

It was a young team with lotto talent, they should trend upward just because of the amount of talent they had.

But when you're running isos for Harrison Barnes...

LMAO!!! They've been a lottery team like 12 times out of the last 15 years...... :dead:

The won 50 plus games for the first time in 2 decades under Mark....

They got rid of Jarret Jack and Carl Landry mid season..... and didn't really get shyt back.... and then around April, the shyt about ownership hit the fan and the ship sunk after that..... Its hard to play for an organization that's gonna fire your coach after the season.........

But yall can tell it however you like.....

not taking anything away from kerr but its interesting how mike malone got alot of credit for the offense under mark jackson. but people conveniently turn a blind eye to alvin gentry who already had a track record going in to this.

and kerr stays giving gentry props.
Malone was known for defense, and had a track record for it with his other jobs.

Derek Fisher just got the Knicks job :stopitslime:

Kerr was a GM for a playoff team. He wasn't some nobody before getting this job.

lawd... listen to what he said... listen to the names he named... listen to the scenarios...

yes there are 1 or 2 black coaches hired every year... there are way more unproven white coaches hired... and those white coaches are lauded as the shyt, while black coaches WITH BETTER TRACK RECORDS are not being lauded as the shyt... just given shyt jobs... ie the knicks

yes steve kerr was a gm on a playoff team... that has literally zero to do with coaching... yet he was talked about OVER guys who actually took teams to the playoffs and won shyt... and those same guys who took teams and won shyt, aren't even getting head coaching offers... let alone 3-4 offers... let alone 1-2 offers from playoffs teams

i mean remove the name steve kerr right......

are we gonna argue that white coaches don't get more and better opportunities than black coaches? that's all he was saying.. he wasn't shytting on kerr saying he's a nobody bum... he's saying kerr wasn't a proven COACH on any level.. and was being offered 3-4 jobs OVER black coaches who actually won playoff series... some of whom STILL haven't got a single offer

i can't put it no other way

Steven A had a point. Still has one. Is Kerr that great of a coach? I dont know.

do you watch basketball or do you skim thru it? He changed the momentum of the entire series by going small and the cavs never stood a chance. that's called coaching.

At no point and time did he ever question his coaching. His actual point is that there is no coaching tape to even look at, to determine why he's getting the job.

And how did that affect Mark Jackson running an offense with very little ball movement.
