Especially when you return from a major injury and the company made it a point to tell people for MONTHS that you were a warrior who finished the match despite suffering such a brutal injury.

so your saying wrestling fans are easily brainwashed?

No I'm saying he got a huge respect pop (which he deserved) but some people are making it out to be like he was getting pops like that on the regular.

And it's particularly egregious to imply HHH was on Austin or Rock's level at ANY point in his career. You can give dude his props without going overboard with it.

Hunter is an all time great and had a dope run from 99-02, but even with his politics backstage he was never close to Austin or Rock's level. Without his politics I have a hard time believing he'd have been hyped as much or booked even remotely as strongly as he has been the past decade. He was given the opportunity to carry Raw and it ended up being the worst period in the shows history.

People still stanning HHH in 2013 :heh:
well. some of them are trolling. The others are just going off nostalgia from when he was a worthwhile performer. Then some are willing to believe anything WWE tells them.
