As much as I enjoy wolf packing on a shyt on Hunter thread that moment was an all time classic like it or not. Those desire videos of him being put back together were so well done that The company worked fans up emotions like dude had cured Cancer, us wrestling fans are a forgiving bunch, sure you beat the shyt outta women with chairs and all kinds of other horrific things but dammit we're glad you're ok man!

Plus him having gutted out that finish on a torn quad gave him that hero aura.

He got a huge pop, nobody is disputing that. Some of us are just saying it's not some unexpected career defining moment that some people are making it out to be.

From the moment he went down with the injury WWE was praising his toughness. They continued with it while he was gone, just before he came back they were teasing that he might join the nWo. given the build they put in place for his return it damn sure had better been a pop that large.
