Said the same thing to myself while watching today. If he can get on base at a nice clip.. he can terrorize teams.
Unpopular opinion.. Luis Torrens needs to take over full time catching duties. He's a better hitter. Rarely strikes out. Has a better arm and is arguably better defensively than Alvy.

They gonna give Alvarez time to reach his potential before they make a move. Doubt anything happens this year.
Nice to see Baty actually do some damage. Basically was the entire offense today. I hope he goes on a tear cuz his defense at 3rd with Acuña at 2nd makes the infield so much better.
Forgot to post this monster but between him and McLean, I'm not sure which is my favorite pitching prospect..

They should have changed his number a whole ago.
If Baty keeps this up, him at 3rd and Vientos at DH is probably the best infield we have. Now we need Gilbert to get a promotion. He's been on a tear recently in AAA. I would love if Gilbert. Jett has been tearing it up recently in AAA, but Gilbert has a wide open path to CF if he wants.

What's the latest? I know he was linked to us heavy in the offseason.. but I haven't seen anything since the season started.
Edit: I just read up. I'd be down to bring him in. What would the White Sox want in return tho? I read that they've been eying Blade Tidwell. I mean.. depending on how much more they'd want, I'd consider it. I think Robert needs a change of scenery. He could start the majority of games in center, and Tyrone can spell him. We could use the rest of the year to see if he's getting back into the groove, and pick up the next 2 years at 20m per if he does. If not, then we could move on. Dude's a 5 tool guy. If he can put it together in Queens, that would be amazing.
