I know I talk a lot of shyt.. but honest question. At what point do we just go with Acuna instead of McNeil for 75-80% of the at bats? What does McNeil bring to the team right now? Seriously.

Didn't the Mets sign McNeil to a decent contract after he won the batting title? It's not a Lindor/Soto type of contract but he gets paid millions per year so if he's healthy they have no choice but to play him



Just googled it and he gets paid 12 million a year. IDK the logistics of baseball contracts but if you sign player to a big contract and making him a bench player seems like an L.

Yea he's on year 3 of (essentially) a 4 year deal. I don't see a problem moving him now. Let Acuna play and develop.
