At this point, if they make it to the playoffs, im expecting McLean, Tong and Sproat in the rotation. Maybe Peterson gets it together.

There have been so many games where the veteran pitcher struggles to complete 3-5 innings only for Castillo, Garcia, Waddell, Hagenman etc to give them 2-3 scoreless innings to then be optioned. Such a painful watch.

Throw Senga on the DL with a phantom injury and bring up Sproat. He might not be as good as Tong and McLean, but he should be able to do better than 4ip and 5er.

Let Senga be an opener for Sproat. He's good for 1 time around the lineup. We might as well piggyback Holmes with one the Syracuse starters as well.

Sounds like he's in favor of Sproat at this point. They better make a decision soon. If they don't call him up by tomorrow he won't be eligible for the post season (assuming they don't collapse).

Senga needs a phantom injury and some time in the lab.



Tong 22 and looks 18. McLean is 24 and looks as old as WFAN thinks Soto is. Growing up in MAGA land and going to school in Oklahoma aged him horribly.

McLean's next start is Tuesday in Detroit and Tong's is Friday in Cincinnati. It's not quite Philly in October, but let's see how good these guys are. Time to sink or swim.
