Boos raining down on Soto again after another horrible AB with runners on.
Lifetime he has a .966 OPS with runners in scoring position. This year it's .706. He's probably at 100 RBIs if he plays up to his average. This current slump has been going on for a bit. I can't wait for the hot streak to come. Pete looks like he's starting to break out of his slump

Worst thing is the options they'll probably go to are Blackburn and Megill when they're ready but it needs to be Sproat/McLean/Tong.

Can't bring Tong up now and expect him to be a savior. Really should've pulled the trigger on a starter and/or bat at the deadline.

I don't know why they didn't go for Sevi. He couldn't be that expensive and Sacramento loves to sell. Between montas issues and the Holmes innings question, it seemed like a no brainer.

Kinda feelin like Stearns might be a little too cocky. Im sure he hears the fan base calling for Sprout/McLean since our starters cant even get to the 5th without A) gettin shelled or B) throwin 90+ pitches through 3/4 innings.

I think he was in between a rock and a had place. We definitely needed to upgrade the rotation, but the asking price for cats like Alcantaara and Cabrera was too much. We can't trot Montas out there again; at this point I'm ready to see what the kids can do. Maybe we can catch lightning in a bottle down the stretch.

Yeah, I can't get mad at Stearns for not getting someone who wasn't traded at all. Maybe the asking price for any decent starter was Sproat/McClain/Tong. He can't do that.
