Stores are supposed to train folks not to intervene. But some folks have a hero syndrome. Been there 10 years. Think they own a piece of the company.I worked in retail a few times. Never follow the people outside. You're not insured. The store is. I actually watched a store manager get ktfo on a Christmas eve for not letting a customer grab a toy.

As it should be. Stores have insurance for shrinkage. Stores won't pay for your death if you chase a customer and get shot or killed in traffic.
Yep. I sure AF wasn't getting anyone arrested that shared a neighborhood with. Managers drive home, I still had to walk out of that place...Stores are supposed to train folks not to intervene. But some folks have a hero syndrome. Been there 10 years. Think they own a piece of the company.![]()
A good number of people go to their graves never learning this.Yep. I sure AF wasn't getting anyone arrested that shared a neighborhood with. Managers drive home, I still had to walk out of that place...
Hopefully never working retail again, hated it
The only good thing was the coworkers
IDK. It's bad in the Pacific Northwest—home of the other white meat—at retail stores. Those cacs are absolutely shameful with their shoplifting.Fake for the gram
Because even if they hire an armed guard they tell them to not touch out of fear of lawsuit. They care more about bad publiss and lawsuits than the stuff. Trust me I worked at the dikks in DC. One of the only ones in major city limits and we had stuff like this happening every other week a long with other theft happening weekly. These retail spots stay losing money and don’t even care about upgrading their security
But they won't leave. Theft losses are a tax writeoff for retailer and insurance. Go lick a retailer's marked-down boots.Once all the major stores in your area leave because insurance rates go up due to theft you’ll be looking extra stupid
Imagine getting sent back to the last supper over a Christmas toyI worked in retail a few times. Never follow the people outside. You're not insured. The store is. I actually watched a store manager get ktfo on a Christmas eve for not letting a customer grab a toy.
