:childplease:

So we're just gonna act like Z-Bo and Gasol aren't the best frontcourt in the L. So we're gonna act like Mke Conley isn't growing to be a top 10 guard. Under the best circumstances the Grizz were going to be a bad matchup for the Thunder.

Theyre arent many competent frontcourts to stop,Grizzlies are one but theyre offense has been the problem in this series

Youre not winning a title with Ibaka as your 3rd option

:dwillhuh: Name me the squad left in the playoffs that DOESN'T have a competent PF/C combo other than maybe Golden State because Lee went down.

That doesn't mean Ibaka needs to be your third option, but it's not like OKC didn't wanna keep Harden. Harden wanted more $$$ than OKC wanted to give him. If Harden stayed and there was no Ibaka at all, even with a hurt Westbrook, Harden's STILL not starting.

OKC's biggest issue is that the team in general is extremely top heavy, so the rug falls out immediately if God forbid one of their cornerstones gets hurt, which is what happened.

id take a perkins/evans(jj hickson)/durant/harden/westbrook

over a perkins/ibaka/durant/sefolasha/westbrook
Wait, what?

Harden's not starting, if he was still there. So it would be:

Westbrook/Thabo/Durant/Evans/Perkins

Westbrook/Thabo/Durant/Ibaka/Perkins.

Evans has no offense and has no defense. Evans and Perkins would probably be the worst starting frontcourt in history.

Problem #1 : You have Reggie Evans starting and inevitably logging major minutes when he's not built for that. He shouldn't have even been doing that for Brooklyn.

Problem #2 : you have Harden starting when there was zero indication that the Thunder were gonna do that with him.

Problem #3 . They dealt Harden during camp, so the reality is that barring a really good big man in exchange for Ibaka (while the other team pays him $12 mil a year), it woulda been either Nick Collison or Perry Jones there.

people really dont get that Harden was NEVER going to start for this team NEVER EVER GOING to start. Thabo would ALWAYS start over him. Hell Thabo got injured this season and Kevin Martin didnt even start. DeAndre Liggins did:yeshrug:

Westbrook picked other guys spots better than folks wanted to give him credit for and always took the heat off of guys. Serge is a good player with plenty of upside. He just happens to be a heavily Westbrook dependent player, which stats show to be true. Thabo is too.

@Loose you dapping the fact that Westbrook is the best player on the Thunder :patrice:

nah, dapping the fact that he's under-appreciated and people understand why his role is what it is. playing with three offensively challenged players in the starting rotation is starting to come to light.

The bad decision making is the coaching. Not developing Lamb or PJIII at all has hurt them big time. Fisher and Sefolosha suck, they should not be getting big minutes on a playoff team.

:whoa: Lets not act like Ibaka is sum sort of bum. I know he's struggling in this series but he's playing against the most physical front court in the league
