Why OH WHY does Thundercat makes his tracks so goddamn short? Does he realize he's gifted & he doesn't have to clip songs like others do? Fantastic album but I egt the feeling pretty soon fans will make extended versions of all these songs. Maybe the deluxes he can do that. He's from the jazz fusion world for godsakes, most jazz fusion oriented musicians don't make all their tracks be 2-4 minutes.

Thundercat sounds sort of like what would happen if George Duke started religiously playing bass (instead of primary focus of keyboard) and hung around Flying Lotus.

Expound on the George Duke comparison.

I can't ever hear him being where Duke was vocally, but it's thought provoking nonetheless.

i hate that some of my favorite tracks are only minute long cuts and one is even 37 seconds


Tokyo, Friend Zone, Them Changes are my favorite cuts but the whole album flows brilliantly.. unskippable

Chris Rock's Tambourine left me wondering what was that song on the intro of the program, I found it was "Them Changes" and thankfully the body of work to accompany it.

Off the strength of a first time listen top to bottom this project is groovy as hell. Really pulled off a Kenny Loggins feature. All of the features fit too, none feel like they don't belong. Thorough work.
