Kanter was a good spark off the bench for OKC but honestly who was OKC giving up for Melo? OKC had no real assets besides Kanter

Kanter couldn't see the floor against GS or Houston, complete liability in any series against them.
Melo acquisition might go down as a failure, miss, whatever, but the players they gave up have nothing to do with it being that.

They are the 4th best rebounding team in the leauge right now ... but only the 26th best when it comes to shooting the deep ball ... this scenario that you are proposing doesn’t make sense based on what their actual strengths and weaknesses have been

Haven't even paid attention to OKC this year, has Melo been that bad this season?
He's averaging 16 & 6 as a 3rd option (which is a role everyone said he should be playing anyways). His shooting % could/should be higher
