Kanter couldn't see the floor against GS or Houston, complete liability in any series against them.

Melo acquisition might go down as a failure, miss, whatever, but the players they gave up have nothing to do with it being that.

Melo wouldnt be able to hang with those teams either.

that might end up being true, but they knew for a fact Kanter couldn't.

OKC got bounced by one of those teams each of the past two years and Kanter was reduced to being a cheerleader because Donovan simply couldn't play him.

Oh ok. This thread led me to believe he was completely washed.
He is washed.

He gets his points in bursts and only averages 16 because he gets that many attempts. On any other solid team he is better suited as a 6th man at this point.

Kanter is only productive on the Knicks because the team has a severe lack of talent
This is false
Since Melo won that championship for Boeheim as a freshman, while the "heir apparent" LeBron was a high school senior they wanted a Magic/Bird pt2 and they keep giving Melo a pass, when we all know he is a enormous Bust.
In the sense of recreating Magic & Bird yeah he's a bust but that's not his doing...overall nah
Trading for Melo period. Bbbbbut he wears a hoodie, so the league better watch out

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
He's averaging 16 & 6 as a 3rd option (which is a role everyone said he should be playing anyways). His shooting % could/should be higher :yeshrug:

14ppg on 36% shooting since the all-star break, and 13ppg on 37% in Feb. He's been trending down the last 20 games....

Oh, and he's been taking more shots per game than the ppg he's been scoring.

If Melo opts out next year Thunder will still be over the cap (if PG13) resigns. There best option if Melo isn't happy with his role would be to do a sign and trade to a team of his choice. Houston,Lakers,Clippers,Heat,Cavs
