He means in terms of influence upon the game as a whole. The rest except for Kanye only influenced by what part of themselves they contributed.

Wayne had the overall package and more.

How would u say that Wayne separates himself from someone like a TI? As far as "influenced by what part of themselves they contributed"

To me, Wayne wasnt that transendant til A millie took him to A millie.

Better question....was wayne's influence bigger at any point than Jay-Z circa 02/03/04?

Probably yes. If not more.

Wayne was on fire, before he fell off and became an embarrassment/former shell of himself.

To those of you that say TI yall can't be serious. I mean commercially? 1 mill sold in one week, nuff said. Musically? Da Drought 3 alone shyts on pretty much everything TI put out at that time, not to mention dedication 2 and tha carter 2. Come on yall, don't delude yourselves like that. Its okay to admit that wayne was that nikka.

With no freestyles....
A best of TI in that era is better than A best of Wayne in that era.

The freestyles are the only thing that make this a question.
(Not to act like they didnt happen)

Thats with the Carter 2 being the best CD in the discussion.
And the Carter 3 being the worst...

This is tough even if you look at it from a commercial standpoint. On the one hand, Wayne has two albums that have sold more than any T.I. album. On the other hand, T.I. had bigger chart hits while each album up until No Mercy (except T.I. vs. T.I.P.) sold more than the previous one significantly. In Wayne's favor, there's that incredible run up to C3 when he was on everything and everywhere. Wayne has a slight edge commercially.

Musically, it comes down to preference. I was never a Wayne fan like that, but as an artist, he was interesting to watch him during that whole '06-'08 run. With T.I., I've always preferred his music to Wayne.

At the end of the day, we all know who's still relevant of those two.

Wayne also peaked in 08 too.

It just happens that TI just fell off quicker than Wayne ever did.

As a rapper, Wayne fell further in my opinion. Compare their two most recent albums and Tip is leaps ahead of Wayne.

From the timespans mentioned its tight, but out of personal preference ill take Tip.

This is why I can't stand most rap fans.

It's like all of a sudden... T.I.'s run was small and insignificant in order to say how big Wayne was...

As if T.I. didn't have the biggest selling rap album of '06... you know what, never mind.

I'll let y'all nikkas tell it. :leostare:
