as a matter fact I dont cuz when I showed up with that new t.i. cd on theblock all my nikkas looked at me likeeven after I tried to explain it was kinda hot and this right in front of the usa flea market in the city sooooo ill take that as a barometer of tip not being checked for in the 'hood' per se... granted nikkas aint FIENDIN for new guwop like that either compared to say a new wayne/future/whoever the fukk else is hot right now release but when i slide thru bumpin trap god 2 i get

ill give you credit for saying he is one of the more complete rappers to come out of the south ever but thats his weakness too, he just doesnt EXCEL at anything either, whens the last time tip spit a verse that made you say
U in the south ain't u?I think it calls into question his king of the south title more than anything if anybody wanted to challenge him for that....but when you are as big as T.I is or even WAS if you wanna say nikkas will check for u still nationwide,rather u got the streets in the frenzy is another story......but t.I could go into any hood club near u and he still gon sell that bytch out like anybody else who u can claim got the streets just becuz he's been that big.....his number of fans from the streets I think have to outnumber these other nikkas based on mathmatics,he can sell out the same hood clubs as them.
It really ain't even fair to compare based on the level of successs he had....once uve been around,visible,on the charts as long as T.I u get to a point where EVERYBODY bcomes indifferent to u,even the cacs eventually will bcome indifferent to t.I and we might be there already.....its a lot easier to keep a fanbase energized when fans still lookin foward to u winnin and takin over the game,when uve already been there done that your fanbase is kinda just
...that's the nature of fickle hiphop fansI will cosign the takin it back to the streets shyt,cuz I do hate when nikkas do that shyt,he really hasn't done much that Jeezy hasn't done without goin pop,I don't even mind a record for the ladies or a rhianna track here or there.....but on sum of his albums he wuz just tryin to hard for that croosover single and all he did wuz bring down the quality of albums that coulda been arguable classics.....he wuz tryna "expand his brand" ol bullshyt,toned the accent down....he shoulda just kept makin sure he made the south happy imo....rap fans want a southern rapper to sound southern,and give a southern perspective of what rap should sound like to them...expanding your brand has shown tim and again to be a fullproof way of shortening a career and lowering a fanbase....even tho it might get u the money don't be made when nikkas ain't checkin for u cuz u sold out,and the fairwhether pop audience ain't really buyin your shyt cuz they only liked your single...check this verse out,he talkin about sumthin and imo killed bob and kendrick...he excels lyrically over every nikka in the south in discussion,in his prime he wuz just rippin

especially the last part. tip is basically the jack-of-all-trades but master of none. and he comes off as a generic @$$ rapper majority of the time.
