Who helped TI with Urban Legend?
The Gillie writing for Wayne is possible
I feel what you saying but let’s be real this is a old head east coast forum… it’d be more replies if this said illmatic vs ready to die for the 100th timeAGAIN.
people from this community to young dro etc.

it is obvious ti is not adept at writing on the level that brought him his draw.
as i'm serious flopped.
then when ti tried to return to writing. that album flopped and was horrible as well.
like i said earlier.
there is no cultural or critical merit for voice over talent.
in a business derived from hiphop culture.
they souled't out. possibly reaped the financial and pr fame benefit of selling out and being a culture thief.
past that. we as the consumer and people in hiphop. can offer nuffin else besides those monetary spoils.
that is also why this thread has little to no traction.
for two albums that were top draws for their time.
this is what always in indicative of acts. who were culturally egregious. then think afterward some good will will be shown after being a misappropriation style culture thief.

i openly hate TI... but whats your beef with weezy in particular? i know you are a fierce traditionalist, but what do you think of him as a wordsmith/lyricist? he does have his own style and was massively influential, whether you like him or not. i get where youre coming from, he is much closer to a pop rapper than a traditional emcee, but you cant deny his talent (at least during his golden age). weezy has plenty of quotables.Who cares.
They both had help.
Absolutely not lol.Both are classics
I think it comes down to preference
If you weight lyrics though, C1 takes it. BM Jr.... need i say more.
