It did not age well and Straight to the Bank is a better record. Candy Shop is corny as fukk, Amusement Parkesque
It dosn't matter how you think it "aged". It's one of the biggest records of the 00's that a lot of people have nostalgia for.

It would be hard for T.I. to beat Candy Shop, Many Men, 21 Questions, In Da Club, P.I.M.P. in a Verzuz setting.

A lot of these aren't about how big the songs are. Nelly had songs that were way bigger than Luda's and still lost. Fabolous had bigger hits than Jada and still lost. Jada ain't even play his biggest songs.

50's songs weren't just "big". They resonated more in the culture which is why today in the new generation 50 is a more sampled artist than T.I. don't get it confused.

Fabolous also lost because his DJ sucked and Jadakiss has L.O.X. material to pull from and was active in the Bad Boy era while Fabolous was just putting out mixtape freestyles.

I wouldn't say Best Friend, When It Rains It Pours, Hustler's Ambition, Window Shopper "aged like milk".

Candy Shop aging like milk is purist/forum talk in a Verzuz that's beating what Tip plays because that's not how people judge. It's the same thing with Just a Lil Bit a record y'all will say "aged like milk" but in the actual competition would go off. 50 can also drop Hate It or Love It and Down On Me as features the public will love.

If 50's hits "aged like milk" then what did T.I.'s :jbhmm:

The fact is 50 got one of the top streamed catalogs to this day. 50 had a much higher prime/peak than Tip. With I'm The Man and Big Rich Town, 50 has more current recognizable songs than Tip. The fact is that 50 catalog is more revered by the current generation of hip-hop.

Pop Smoke flipped Many Men, Window Shopper, and U Not Like Me, NBA YoungBoy flipped Get In My Car, Dreamdoll flipped "I'll Whip ya Head Boy", A-Boogie flipped Many Men, Post Malone flipped Window Shopper, all the drill nikkas Keef/Herb/Bibby look up to 50 and cite Heat as one of their favorite records.

So how is T.I. going to beat 50 :heh:

I don't understand the concept of "forum talk" when these Versuz are on the 'net. Who do you think is going to be tuned into this shyt, the streets? :mjlol:

At the end of the day it's the hard core fans that tune into these. The types of people that engage these rappers on the 'net. The type of people that post on social media and forums. Regardless of genre. Be it R&B, reggae, or rap. And half the 50 songs you guys are posting, were not received very well by those people.

It's not a matter of TI having some kinda amazing catalog. It's a matter of 50's hits not aging well. I don't mean all of them, obviously. He has a few dangerous songs that could easily eclipse anything TI has....but the flip side of that is, TI didn't get corny to the average person until much later into his career than 50 did. So TI has enough "good" songs to carry him through a play list.

And of course 50's old songs are streamed more. He did like 16 mill between his first two albums. But by his 4th album he was struggling to go gold. Which goes back to what I said about his fall off was more sudden than TI's. "Trap Muzik" went plat....TI was still going 2x plat on "Paper Trail", which was 6th album and 7 years later.

Those songs only aged poorly on here my guy among forum users and purists who hate pop rap or think it's corny. In the Verzuz it's a celebration of records and the capsule in time. 50 and T.I.'s Verzuz will have like 500K on it, trust it's not going to be all heads. In fact the majority will be "casual fans" and industry heads.

Candy Shop and Just a Lil Bit will go off in a Verzuz. If this battle does happen you'll see.

wait so you think it's more purist/forum users tuning into these than a mainstream/casual audience? :skip:

Just a Lil Bit sure, Candy shop is a terrible song. And it's not like T.I. doesn't have songs to combat those lol. Like @JustCKing said, Fab & Nelly played their biggest songs but Jada & Luda played the better records.
