Window Shopper has over 150M views on YouTube. Pop Smoke and Post Malone sampled it in the last year.

Best Friend has 80M views on YouTube.

Damn near to the point it seems like they're stealing talking points from this thread.

Why? Because there's a huge overlap between forums and social media in 2020

Which brings me to my next point. You don't need to have some kind of crazy, rap nerd forum specific knowledge of hip-hop to weigh in on TI vs 50. The same cats in here shytting on "Ayo Technology" and "Candy Shop" probably post on social media, too. Which is why I asked, what year do you think it is?

My point is that the shyt yall nikkas talk about on forums does not correlate with what the general public/average consumer/mainstream audience talks about and I gave clear examples to support that point. There isn't a huge overlap in forums and social media outside of certain influential accounts who lurk the coli/other forums and directly steal talking points to regurgitate it to their big platform.

Yes, Candy Shop and Ayo Technology were trash singles. However, the former is one of the most successful songs of the 2000s that takes a lot of people back to a certain point in time and has nostalgic value. Scott Storch played it in a battle against Mannie Fresh and got an overwhelmingly positive reaction and it'd get the same reaction if 50 played it himself. But either way I'm not even talking about that, I think most real 50 fans were disappointed at that single when it came out despite it's success. That being said, 50 doesnt NEED to play either of those songs which is why idk why yall are having a big debate in this thread about Candy Shop like that makes or breaks his catalog.

That is what I mean, on the coli 50 supposedly has a limited badly aged catalog and won't be able to keep up.. but in real life he has more than enough hits that are going to resonate and give Tip a run for his money and that's not counting any of the trash like Candy Shop or Ayo Technology.
