If you're an attractive struggling actor, you may get away with it....
Clarification on the story.... Tia, Tamera & Cory worked on a project and was getting off worked. Cory was at the bus stop and Tia and Tamera, driving by the stop, recognized him, so Tia gave him a ride home... and that's how the story began.
@Raye82 Posters are using the story to demonstrate that when women use both sides of their brain to select a mate instead of primal instincts, it's fairly easy to find a suitable partner. The story also demonstrates that young adults can be mature about relationships that can lead to marriage as Tia and were in their late teens, early twenties when they met, unlike some of the general population who tend to be immature (to put it nicely); racing to the altar in their thirties and forties. Tia gave him a chance and she saw his character and work ethic before his swag and appearance. Women hate when men throw the "p" word around(potential), but this is another example of women winning when they properly vet men with the potential that: a) want to be married b)are marriage material c)can contribute to a stable home.
A lot of the females(some in this very thread) are going in on Cory because Tia pick up a broke, struggling actor who they themselves wouldn't entertain that eventually turned into the prize that seems so "unattainable" or "non-existant" to many black women. Feelings everywhere are being caught.
Even though I'm a dude and I kind of agree with the sentiments in this thread, most dudes can do a lot better with the decisions they make when they deal with women..... basically putting emotional and physical mileage on decent women, thus, making them undateable for the next man. I don't advocate fukking and chucking females for leisure, but it is what it is. This is why it's imperative to protect yourself... and the reason why women have more to lose. Tia played the game right.
