No one is telling anyone to get with anyone. To use some sappy term here, I think most people just think its a "sweet" story. At the end of the day, if she is happy and he is happy, that is all that matters. The fact that she was able to fall in love with this dude strictly because of him as a person instead of what was in his pocket AT THAT POINT IN TIME (not everyone stays broke), is what people are impressed with.

Its a sign of a deep moral character. Just liking someone ONLY for their money is by contrast, is not because essentially you can just be bought by the highest bidder...like a prostitute.
