To answer the question she posed, is to just treat us with respect when raising us from boy to man. If you want love, give respect. Many of us were raised without male figures in the house and had to carry the emotional way that women dealt with and disciplined.

She simply asked what can be done to aid in helping this issue, not that Black Women have to do everything, but what can they do to assist with the effort. These dumbasses turned it into carrying the load for Black men.

It was a good question and I hope something constructive can be found nestled between all the bullshyt.

The lack of the nuclear black family unit (and respect for this unit from all parties) coupled with lack of knowledge in regards to black history coupled with a lack of a healthy distrust of non-black interests also with lack of viewing the community in a more collectivist mindset, with an even greater lack of actual consequences existing withing the community let alone outside of it finally with a terribly odious serving of white racist policies though I do think the latter can be dealt with by much of the former. The problem is, this is probably one aspect but it is a starting point to address issues.

And what do you see black men on a large scale doing to combat these forces and protect and preserve the lives of black women and themselves?

And if the a segment of men in community do not have a “collective mindset” to the point where they indiscriminately kill members of that community and the rest of the men set no repercussions or consequences for those men, where does that leave the women of that community?
