The last seizure he had was 4 years ago according to what he told Meltzer at the beginning of this year when he had to retire. He made that public after people speculated he had a seizure in his last TV match (it turned out he was just selling)
So he had that seizure close to the start of 2013, the year he had the biggest work load on the roster with 250 matches (or close to that, check here
http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers/daniel-bryan-1741.html?year=2013&res=250) and he didn't have more incidents of
that nature after wrestling so many damn times - something that is WWE's and Bryan's fault - my point here is not saying everything is fine with him, because that's just not the case, but my point is that people thinking he's one bump away from dying or ending up like Benoit are exaggerating.
Would I let my brother wrestle knowing this? No, but I wouldn't want my brother to even wrestle to being with. It's a fukked up business and we all gotta realize that Bryan isn't the only one with brain damage, there's probably a bunch of active wrestles with his same issues or even worse, and we keep cheering for them and wanting to see them work, if my brother entered the business he'd probably destroy his body anyway, that's why I wouldn't like him even trying this shyt.
I think this post comes off as me justifying his eventual return. But it's not that, I'm fine with him not wrestling again - I'd like to see it, and I joke about it, but I'm not clamoring for it - it's just that I'd like this "HE'S GONNA DIE IF HE ENTERS THE RING AGAIN!!!" narrative to stop. If we are gonna be so defensive about the health of wrestlers then we should stop watching.
On a test that's still experimental.
To me, more than the result of that test, the "troubling" thing here is Bryan going from being scared and agreeing to retiring to him downplaying the test and pretty much saying to everyone that asks him that he will wrestle again if he gets the chance to do so. He clearly doesn't know any better, he's just like Kurt Angle.
