nike and their shyt equipment hurt tiger, he could have had more titles if he wasn't sandbagging himself with their shyt drivers and putters
They never got the equipment thing down. They haven't any new clubs/balls in awhile. Might be getting out of the golf business all together or just focusing on apparel.

Nah, him going out and doing green beret and special ops training and being a sex addict and shyt hurt Tiger.

Don’t blame the equipment. He was sonning dudes by 10 strokes with that very same equipment. Wasn’t until he literally started training like he was going to war when shyt started to go downhill.

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Isn't Nike moving away from Golf anyway

They got out of equipment nearly a decade ago (I think). Golf in general is a low margin business given the constant r&d/changes, but it also doesn't help that they were never considered a true golf brand by the purist.

They've also been scaling back on the apparel side for quite some time now. Just way too crowded of a field (EVERYONE has a golf brand nowadays).

Makes sense for Nike to simply focus on high margin businesses where they already benefit from strong brand loyalty.

Nike got out of the equipment making in 2016. They've only been focusing on apparel since then.

Tiger probably wants to either start his own brand independent of Nike, or partnering with another golf company in the same manner he did with Nike. He's signed with TaylorMade to use their equipment, it would make sense for TaylorMade to let him start his own brad within their umbrella.

I think a lot of these higher end luxury brands have really killed Nike and Adidas in the apparel space.

Peter Millar, H&B, Greyson, Malbon and others are all that Pro Shops carry any more, and almost no one is going to dikks to buy plain Nike golf shirts any more.
