Of course it's not a guarantee but he has the genes and resources that most don't have. Now if a player is good enough or talented enough is another thing. That's why some cats like Ken Griffey produces a son better than him but on the other hand MJ couldn't produce a pro player with his sons.

As a father you have to put in the work with your child for them to reach their potential. A coach can do a lot but the effects of a Dad being out there and making him/her work is different.

If Tiger spends time with his son like Tigers Dad did with him then dude will be a problem, a big one

Not to mention, golf is a game of technique, tberes a lot of latitude for athletic talent (or lack of) to be overcome.

in any case, Charlie will probably never be as good as his dad in his prime but that doesnt mean he wont be a major winning pro.

Whatever he lacks in talent, he will make up for with the goat giving him insight from the outside looking in.

Yeah expecting him to be a top 3 to 5 golfer of all time is asking a lot of someone who may grow up and might not even want to play the sport anymore.

Tiger making his son follow in his footsteps in golf as opposed to playing fun sports like basketball, soccer, football, etc. borders on child abuse

Possibly. Modern balls and clubs tho its hard to gauge.

My daughter just turned 11 and her power off the tee is just starting to show itself. She has hit a few 200 yard shots but averages around probably 160. At this stage she’s not far behind boys and other girls her age and slightly older. Her mid and short game is where she really shines.

I was reading some of the comments on the video and somebody mentioned he's not ranked high, thought guy was just hating.

You have to type in his name:

Global Junior Golf Rankings

Rank 5162
Charlie Woods
Palm Beach Gardens, FL

But looks like Junior Golf is 11-18 and he's only 12.

I think if he stays with it, probably will see him on the tour one day. Playing well.

No idea if this is true.

"LOL ....He's not even in the top 100 for 11-12 year olds in the state of Florida...he is not making the PGA tour...Little John Daly however is legit ...AJGA has him as the third-ranked junior in the state of Florida"

"Little John Daly" is actually 18 and started college already.

I guess it is true, not in top 100 for 11/12 year olds

I play golf and am always on the range. I see a lot of kids similar age as Charlie with just as good swings so I'm not surprised at that ranking, especially in Florida.

Most impressive with Charlie though is doing this in front of that large Tiger gallery. There are tons of players who can make all the swings but nobody could handle the pressure like Tiger. Whoever Tiger played with on Sundays always melted because of the size of his galleries. Charlie looks like he may have the same mental make up as his pops.
