It's a gimmick that would take awhile to catch on with the audience so they'd probably Tensai him where they'd strip the gimmick bit by bit until he's a joke.

They also did this to Kenzo Suzuki way back when. His own wife cockblocked his monster Hirohito push before he even debuted. When he finally did hit the scene they had elements of the original gimmick but eventually they dropped it and made him a corny American loving heel and paired him with Renee Dupree.
