Tim Duncan is the only "HOF" who played with other all stars his whole career.

Who was Pop before TD :sas2:.

Hell who was Ginobili and TP before TD :sas2:

He was a disciple and apprentice under the leadership of the great HOFers and legends of the court in Larry Brown and Don Nelson:sas1:

Basically, we asking "who came first....chicken or the egg?" when we discuss Pop or TD:sas2:

Exactly...you're 100% right.

Facts like these don't register when people are trying to bend the truth though breh:heh:

Tim Duncan played with his HOF/All-Star teammates longer than Kobe has played with his as well.

Kobe's played 14 of his 20 seasons with at least 1 HOF or All-Star Teammate (whether current/former). :sas1:

Tim Duncan has played all 19 of his 19 seasons with at least 1 HOF or All-Star Teammate (whether current/former) PLUS Gregg Popovich on the sidelines....but they never wanna include those facts in it:sas2:

LeBron has played every season of his career (13 years) with a HOF or All-Star Teammate (whether current/former) as well:wow:

kobe played with a top 10 all time player for 3 of those titles. no way around that.
and it still remains Shaq, gasol >>>> parker, ginobili

so youre saying parker and ginobili were allstars right out the gate? both guys drafted 28th and 57th.
they both started out as role players. it took them time to develop.
Only on thecoli are these guys considered top 10 all time talent.

Jackson >>>> pop

Popovich in 2014: “Every time I walk around the house, once a month, I tell my wife, 'Say thank you, Tim.' Before you start handing out applause and credit to anyone else in this organization for anything that's been accomplished, remember it all starts with and goes through Timmy. As soon as he (retires), I'll be 10 steps behind. Because I'm not stupid.”

TD was gonna be great. Had Pitino trying to job out the Celtics for a shot at em.

97-87 Celtics could of been:

Duncan
Toine Walker
Walter McCarthy
Greg Minor
Chauncy Billups

:wow: he dodged a bullet

So, you're saying Kobe's not better than Tim Duncan (which where I was I even arguing that:dahell: ) because he had better teammates (you listed Shaq & Gasol >>> Parker, ginobili):jbhmm:

But then turn around and say Phil Jackson is >>>> Gregg Popovich....when Jackson was the COACH of Kobe and his great teammates while Pop was the coach of Duncan with lesser teammates according to you:jbhmm:

How does that work?:what:

Pop: Coached parker and ginobili who werent allstars right out the gate. both guys drafted 28th and 57th. they both started out as role players. it took them time to develop. Only on thecoli are these guys considered top 10 all time talent.

So, wouldn't it be Pop > Jackson according to YOUR logic?:jbhmm:

Oh, we're using Pop quotes:krs:

I got some, I got some:

"He shoots his threes, he takes it to the hole, he likes the baseline jumpers. But what he does best is he takes what’s given. It’s the sign of a very intelligent basketball player. You see him read games and see how it’s going, see where he’s needed. Sometimes he’ll just defer to everyone else for a while until he sees what’s the weakness in the other team, or what’s available to him, or how people are guarding him or how his team is playing. He factors all these things in and then comes and tries to kick your ass." The Evolution of Kobe Bryant: Gregg Popovich

"Having Kobe back is huge,” Popovich said. “It’s huge for the whole league, and not just his team. He’s an icon as a basketball player." Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich praises Kobe Bryant for impact on the NBA

"I think he's THE most talented player in the game at both end of the floor"

Tim Duncan would've locked the Eastern Conference down breh. He probably would've turned the Celtics into a dynasty in the East:wow:

What if he went to Orlando and McGrady & Grant Hill stayed healthy:whew:

phil has 11 rings. no way around that. he was able to get shaq and kobe to work together for the 3peat. I don't know any other coach that could have done that with those egos. :wow:

Pop was basically a rookie head coach when he got tim. In his rookie year TD was an mvp candidate. Phil was well established with 6 rings already when he got kobe.

I'd say tim did a lot with less. Took young pop and a bunch of role players to the promise land. :blessed:

Pop praises every great player. he would say similar stuff about LeBron, curry, shaq and a bunch of others. He never talks bad about anybody. He said kobe was great. He never said kobes career was better than Duncans tho.
